Community Wisdom Partners was created in 2014 and is based in Barcelona, Spain. It is constituted by Chiqui Arregui, Katinka C. Van Cranenburgh and Rob Denny. For larger assignments, we collaborate with a small selected group of international development consultants.
Katinka (Dutch) is a specialist in Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Research. She has over 16 years of corporate experience in sub-Sahara Africa and South East Asia practicing stakeholder engagement, public-private healthcare partnerships, human rights and corporate philanthropy. As a social performance specialist, she has provided impact assessments, studies and strategy advice in the food & beverage, oil & gas, mining and NGO sector.
Katinka provides online training, assessment and coaching for companies, regular lectures at business schools and in-house speaking assignments for companies and non-profit organisations. Katinka has served as vice-chair of the business board and member of the management team of the Academy of Business in Society (ABIS) from 2002 to 2014.
Researcher and visiting lecturer for the ESADE Institute of Social Innovation, she holds a PhD from Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management, and a master's degree in International Business Administration (University of Amsterdam). She is fluent in English and Dutch and has good command of Spanish.

Rob (British) is a sustainability professional working with the natural resource industry to address Social Risk. He has a background in CSR for extractives, governance and communications. He has been engaged with the extractive sector since 2006, following 12 years in international development and 6 years as a diplomat.
Naturally inquisitive, Rob likes to enter into complex social and political situations, identify the underlying realities, and define effective courses of action. He has managed community relations teams for major mining and Oil & Gas companies, as well as development and humanitarian programmes for international NGOs.
Rob holds a Masters Degree in African Studies from SOAS (University of London) and a BA (Hons) in Modern History from the University of Oxford, as well as a post-graduate diploma in Conflict Transformation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He wrote his post-graduate thesis on the relationship between oil companies and local communities in the Niger Delta. He is fluent in English and Spanish, with a working knowledge of Portuguese and Swahili.

Chiqui (Venezuelan/Spanish) is a social development specialist with over 17 years of experience in supporting, managing and evaluating social outcomes. Her experience spans over different sectors including health and HIV/AIDS, water and sanitation, livelihoods, governance, natural resources and gender.
She successfully managed organisations, programmes and projects at national level and in the Southern Africa Region in the 15 years she lived in Africa. As a consultant she has performed social analyses, assessments and baseline studies, served as strategic advisor, and played a leading role in the design of large and complex programmes, strategy development and conducting performance evaluations. Her work has contributed to bolstering the capacity of communities to take advantage of emerging opportunities and substantially improving linkages and synergies with the public and private sectors alike.
Chiqui holds a Masters Degree in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is proficient in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and has good command of French.
